Smartpack2 Controller
Smartpack just got smarter! Introducing the new Smartpack2 controller, taking system control and interaction to a new level.

Functional description and features

The supervision unit is defined as a “distributed” control system. This means that the system is typically built up by 3 main hardware devices and can be extended with optional devices when specific monitoring and control is needed.

Device types of same sort can also be added in a multiple if number of inputs/outputs needs to be even further extended. The control units communicate on common bus architecture with each other and power modules (rectifiers, dc/dc converters, solar chargers, etc.) based on CAN BUS. This CAN BUS is also used to distribute power to the various control units. The control system includes on one power system the following devices as default
  • SP2 Master – Graphical User Interface / Master Controller
  • SP2 Basic – Internal System Wiring / Backup Controller / LVD & Cabinet Controller / CAN Power Supply
  • I/O Monitor (Type 2) – Customer I/O Unit, relay outputs and aux. inputs

The control system is powered by an on board DC/DC converter on the Basic Controller. The DC system voltage can be tapped of the main DC bus either from rectifier side or battery side of LVD if applicable.
